We have been notified that cheque services for selected financial institutions (FIs), some of which are our Bank@Post partners, will change from Monday 27 May 2024.

As a result, from 17 May 2024, changes will apply to cheque acceptance at Australia Post.

For customers of our Bank@Post partners this mean that:

  • we will be unable to deposit cheques issued from these FIs into an account via the Bank@Post service.
  • cheques from these FIs can no longer be accepted at Australia Post for the payment of accounts, such as a Post Billpay account.
  • importantly, Bank@Post cash transactions for these FIs remain available.

As the cheque industry continues to evolve, further changes may occur as financial institutions assess their cheque service strategies. We encourage you to speak to your financial institution about any change in services that may impact you.
