We guarantee next business day delivery if you post your item within our Express Post next business day delivery network on a business day (Monday to Friday) and meet the Express Post service conditions.1

Sending valuable items?

For extra peace of mind, you can add Extra Cover – it provides loss or damage cover from $100 up to $5,000

If your item is lost or damaged while being carried by Australia Post and you haven’t purchased Extra Cover, you may still be eligible for limited compensation.3

1 Next business day delivery is only available within the Express Post next business day delivery network. The national next business day delivery network operates between capital cities (excluding Darwin; and for Perth, delivery into the CBD only) and some major centres. Express eParcel is not covered in the Express Post guarantee.

2 Please note that items lodged in yellow Street Posting Boxes will be eligible for the Express Post next-day guarantee where our scan verifies that the item was lodged before the cut off time on that day. For later lodgements or proof of postage time, you can lodge at your nearest Post Office.

3 Check your local Post Office opening hours or speak to your local facility for required parcel pick-up timeframes. You can generally post items in yellow street posting boxes until 4pm Monday to Friday. However, other times may apply in many areas. Please check posting times displayed on individual street posting boxes.

4 Express Post comes with up to $100 compensation included. Additional charges for Extra Cover apply. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, Australia Post does not accept liability for any consequential or indirect loss or damage arising due to any failure related to our service. Neither the compensation included with our service nor the purchase of Extra Cover limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
