Our Defence Mail service is a specialised service for sending mail to Defence personnel within Australia and overseas.

Postage rates for Defence Mail

Domestic rates of postage apply from point of lodgement to the postcode 2890.

With exception, no postage is payable by the sender for items sent to AFPOs (excluding AFPO2 Malaysia), that are not over 2kg (cubed or actual; whichever is the greater).

Domestic rates of postage apply for the following:

  • Mail to HMA ships (in any location),
  • AFPO2 (Malaysia) and
  • Mail over 2kg (cubed) to all other AFPOs which is charged for the total item weight.

This is calculated as the applicable domestic postage rate from point of lodgement to postcode 2890.
