Service update

Last year our Priority letters service was suspended and our Regular letter services changed in response to COVID-19. These changes expired on 30 June 2021. From 1 July 2021, we’ll endeavour to deliver according to delivery timetables as best we can while the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 remain.

How to send your Priority Letter

1. Apply your stamp

Stick it in the top-right corner of your envelope.

2. Apply Priority label

It goes next to your postage stamp.

3. Post your letter

Any red street posting box or Post Office will do.

1 While we will endeavour to meet this timetable, the actual delivery speed will depend on where in each state/territory the item is being posted from/to, and the level of restrictions and congestion in our delivery network at the relevant time.

2 Rigid or inflexible items such as keys, pens, USBs or CDs should never be sent in a regular paper envelope as they could easily be damaged by our sorting equipment or torn from the envelope and lost. Items like these should always be packaged correctly and sent as a parcel. View our packaging hints and tips and domestic parcels
