What is an AP Billing Extract?
An AP Billing Extract file contains detailed article transaction data and can help you to reconcile your Australia Post invoice. You can also use it to conduct your own data analysis.
- Each AP Billing Extract file matches the corresponding Australia Post invoice period.
- Downloadable CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, which can be opened in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Available for download 1 working day after your invoice is generated.
- Also known as an AP Billing Report.
- AP Billing Extracts are available from September 2023 when it was first introduced.

How to download your AP Billing Extract
You can download your AP Billing Extract files from My Business Account (MBA), located within the Merchant Portal.
To request access or for help, visit Merchant Portal help and support.
Instructions
1. Log in to the Merchant Portal.
2. Select Launch app for My Business Account.
3. Select Invoices from the top menu, then select the Generate link for an invoice period.
4. You should now see the text label 'Generating'.
5. Depending on the file size, it may take a few minutes for a Download link to appear. The page will refresh once it's finished generating. Click Download and the AP Billing Extract will download as a ZIP file.
6. Unzip the downloaded file. Open the AP Billing Extract CSV file in either Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or any other software that supports CSV files.
