Sending to Macao

If you are sending to Macao, in addition to the full Goods Declaration and HS Tariff code mandate, Macao Post requests senders to include the Receiver’s (mobile) phone number in the customs declaration form for all parcels and letters, except air letters.

Prohibitions

The following items are prohibited from importation, meaning they won't be allowed to enter the destination country, territory or region.

  • Animals, live
  • Arms and ammunition; parts and accessories
  • Banknotes, currency notes and other convertible items
  • Batteries (lithium)
  • Offensive or immoral articles
  • Postal items that cause damage to the public postal order
  • Rubber and articles thereof
  • Unauthorized advertising

Lithium batteries

Lithium batteries and devices containing them are prohibited from being sent to Macao.

Import restrictions

If an item is subject to import restrictions, it means that provisions must be met before it will be released from customs in the destination country, territory or region.

Special documentation

In addition to our customs forms, authorities in the destination country, territory or region require further documentation for some items.

Articles exceeding a value of 90 patacas require a consular invoice signed by the sender and endorsed by a Portuguese Consul.
