Prohibitions

The following items are prohibited from importation, meaning they won't be allowed to enter the destination country, territory or region.

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Marks of origin, false
  • Metal counters and similar articles resembling coins
  • Sweetening agents
  • Weights and measures, non-metric
  • Wine made with raisins, figs or dates.

Import restrictions

If an item is subject to import restrictions, it means that provisions must be met before it will be released from customs in the destination country, territory or region.

We recommend you confirm import restrictions with local authorities before posting:

  • Animals and animal products
  • Chemical products
  • Counterfeiting apparatus
  • Films
  • Firearms
  • Flowers
  • Fruit
  • Medicines
  • Plants
  • Sound recordings.

Wallis and Futuna Islands requires an import certificate for non-dutiable goods and an import licence for dutiable goods. Before posting any item, senders should confirm that the addressee has the necessary certificate or licence.

Wallis and Futuna Islands admits items free of all duties and taxes if they are for the personal and family use of the addressee and valued at less than $81.00 AUD per item.
