Import restrictions

If an item is subject to import restrictions, it means that provisions must be met before it will be released from customs in the destination country, territory or region.

We recommend you confirm import restrictions with local authorities before posting:

  • Animal products
  • Arms and ammunition and parts thereof
  • Corrosive or toxic chemicals
  • Drugs and medicines
  • Gasses
  • Organic or inorganic chemicals
  • Pharmaceutical products
  • Plants and parts of plants
  • Vehicles, other than railway or tramway rolling-stock

Special documentation

In addition to our customs forms, authorities in the destination country, territory or region require further documentation for some items.

Commercial goods require an inserted invoice with a duplicate copy posted separately to the addressee. Used clothing requires a Certificate of Disinfection.

    Uruguay permits padded bags as the outer wrapping of articles only if securely sealed in the same way as for an Extra Cover article.
