Sending to Israel
From 1 January 2024, when you are sending to Israel, it is important to ensure that the information provided in your CN23 customs declaration is complete and accurate. Israeli customs authorities now require:
All express items MUST include the receiver's tax/ID number (a number composed of nine digits)
- If the recipient is an individual, the package must include the recipient’s Israeli ID number; or
- If the recipient is a corporation, the package must include the VAT number.
In our customs declaration form, please provide the receiver's tax/ID number under the Receiver’s details in the Importer reference number section.
Prohibitions
The following items are prohibited from importation, meaning they won't be allowed to enter the destination country, territory or region.

- Animal of vegetable fats and oils
- Alcoholic beverages
- Bacteria
- Birds eggs
- Dairy products except canned powdered milk
- Diamonds
- Edible fruit, seeds and nuts
- Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof
- Fertilizers
- Fish and crustaceans
- Firearms
- Food colouring
- Games of chance
- Jewellery, precious stones, metals
- Lottery tickets and circulars
- Pearls and coins
- Plants, parts of plants and products of plants
- Photographic or cinematographic goods
- Prepared foodstuffs
- Publications, and other products of the printing industry- offensive by nature
- Soil, earth and organic matter
- Spices over 1 kg
- Weapons
Import restrictions
If an item is subject to import restrictions, it means that provisions must be met before it will be released from customs in the destination country, territory or region.
We recommend you confirm import restrictions with local authorities before posting:
- Animals and animal products
- Beverages and alcoholic fluids
- Chemical products
- Cigarettes exceeding 600 units
- Clothing and footwear- soiled
- Computer cards not sent in a letter
- Electronic equipment
- Firearms and firearm parts
- Fish and fish products
- Firearms

- Meat and meat products

- Postage stamps, monthly value exceeding 100 new Israeli shekels

Gifts
Israel admits gifts for the personal use of the addressee if:
- the item is not a restricted or prohibited import
- the sender has declared the contents
- the weight of the article does not exceed 20 kg

As the sender, it's your responsibility to make sure your items don't break any laws or rules – both within Australia and in the destination country.

Special documentation
In addition to our customs forms, authorities in the destination country, territory or region require further documentation for some items.
The addressee must provide an import licence for all types of goods except an immigrant’s personal effects and gifts. Commercial goods require an invoice attached either to the outside of the article or to the customs documentation.

International Express - Parcels does deliver to a Post Office Box or Poste Restante.
Please ensure the following is included for International Express - Parcels:- all the information must be written in English, including the names of the sender and addressee
- only one return address
- a detailed description of the contents, weight and value
- telephone number(s) of the addressee
