Choosing the right customs form

You'll need to fill out a customs form or declaration for all parcels and some letters you send overseas.

To work out which form you need, choose an option below:

Not sure how to classify your item? To be considered a letter or document, your package must:

  • weigh less than 500g,
  • have a rectangular shape,
  • be no larger than a B4 envelope (260 x 360 x 20mm), and
  • be no thicker than 20mm.

You can now prepare your customs declaration form online. That way, you’ll save time at the Post Office when you send your parcel.
