Give your customers delivery choices

Newfound workplace flexibility and a strong demand for convenience have driven customers to favour online retailers that offer more choice, such the ability to decide where their items are delivered to.

We can help you give your customers the choice of sending their online shopping to one of more than 5,000 collection points nationwide2.

Make shopping with you even more convenient

By integrating our eCommerce tools into your checkout, your customers can choose to collect their deliveries at either a free 24/7 Parcel Locker, a Post Office or a selected retail partner1. Some of these are accessible 24/7 or have extended opening hours.

Case study: OZ Hair & Beauty

OZ Hair & Beauty understood that the last mile delivery experience could significantly influence customers’ brand perception. So it began offering them a better delivery experience through Australia Post’s Collect service.

Why offer a choice in collection points?

Customers value convenient delivery options:

said delivery defines who they shop with.2

bought goods from one online merchant over another because of more convenient delivery options.2

abandoned a shopping cart because the delivery choices didn’t meet their needs.2

said a positive delivery experience encourages them to shop again.2

How it works

Simply add our Collections widget or API to your website.

The widget

This is suitable if you’re already using our Shipping APIs to access Parcel Post or Express Post and want an easy, out-of-the-box solution. Using only a few lines of code, you can be up and running in just a few days.

The widget allows you to add a simple search box into your existing checkout process and display an interactive map and list showing points and opening hours. Your customers can then pick their preferred collection point from the search results, which is then automatically populated in the delivery address fields in your checkout. You then manifest your parcels as normal.

Choose this option if you’re already using our Shipping APIs to access Parcel Post or Express Post and want to customise your checkout to suit your specific requirements.

You can use the Collections API to retrieve the details of active collection points on a daily basis and store them on your platform so they can be displayed in your own map or list format.

Your customers can then select their preferred location from your list.
