Cyclone Alfred: Extreme weather conditions in Queensland and New South Wales (NSW)

7 March 2025: Australia Post is working hard to prepare for Tropical Cyclone Alfred. The extreme weather conditions are impacting our mail and parcel networks, including International inbound and outbound deliveries, and resulting in delivery delays in and out of northern NSW, down to Coffs Harbour, and all of Queensland.

The safety of our people and the community is our priority and we’re working with local teams to monitor the situation.

All Australia Post and StarTrack network operations in south-east Queensland and parts of northern NSW, down to Coffs Harbour are paused.

Post Offices in this region will also be closed from Thursday 6 March. Please visit Post Office locator for the latest information.

Our operations will recommence, and Post Offices will reopen when it is safe to do so.
