Adelaide to Darwin rail container fire

A fire in a rail container on 18 March, en route from Adelaide to Darwin, has caused delivery delays and, regrettably, damaged some mail and parcels.

Our team has been working to assess the impact and process undamaged items. Unfortunately, some items on board could not be identified or safely recovered.   

We’ve contacted senders where possible and ask that customers do the same to find out next steps. If you’re a sender, please contact us.

Norfolk Island parcel delays

The sea vessel travelling from Brisbane to Norfolk Island has been delayed due to adverse weather conditions, impacting the arrival of Parcel Post items sent to Norfolk Island.

Delayed Parcel Post items will be delivered as soon as there is a safe passage for the vessel to Norfolk Island. The team will notify customers as soon as they are ready for collection.
