From Monday 26 February 2024, changes will apply to cheque acceptance for Bank of Sydney and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited.

Bank of Sydney

Cheque services will no longer be provided by Bank of Sydney. This means customers will not be able to deposit Bank of Sydney cheques, or deposit cheques from any other financial institution into a Bank of Sydney account. Cheques issued by Bank of Sydney can no longer be accepted at Australia Post for the payment of accounts such as a Post BillPay account.

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited

Cheques issued by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited will no longer be accepted by other financial institutions, including via the Bank@Post service, and can no longer be accepted at Australia Post for the payment of accounts such as a Post BillPay account.
