Get your letter right and ready
Letters sent within Australia can only contain flexible items no thicker than 5mm for small letters and no thicker than 20mm for large letters. If your letter is larger than our maximum size and weight, or contains rigid or inflexible material, it will be considered a parcel.
Letters sent overseas can only contain printed material with no commercial value. If your letter is larger than our maximum size and weight, it will be considered a parcel and require a customs form.

For proof of posting, choose a Domestic letter with tracking prepaid envelope and lodge it over the counter at your local Post Office. -
Registered Post
If you’re sending important letters or documents within Australia, use a Registered Post prepaid envelope or label for extra peace of mind. -
Underpaid mail and counterfeit products
If we detect that your mail was posted with insufficient postage, we may invoice you the difference plus an admin fee.
