Like your business, we have continued to adapt to the challenges presented as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. For us, this has meant continued reduced air freight capacity globally, including to and from Australia.
Due to this and associated costs to secure space to transport goods, we introduced an International Linehaul Surcharge for our Contract customers. The surcharge only applies to international outbound contract parcel consignments, and not to MyPost Business (MPB) or Retail lodgements.
From 1 July 2023, we are further decreasing this surcharge to some destination zones, until further notice. This is due to airfreight capacity continuing to recover as international travel resumes to some destinations. Please be assured the rates by destination zone will be reviewed on a monthly basis until we are able to restore our outbound airfreight to the arrangements in place prior to the pandemic.
The rates will vary based on the destination zone you are sending to and any surcharges incurred will be displayed as a standalone item on your invoice.
