Shane Plant

Shane joined Australia Post in 2016 and was appointed Executive General Manager, Network Operations in January 2026. With more than 30 years’ experience in global logistics and manufacturing industries, Shane is responsible for leading Australia’s biggest logistics network, delivering billions of articles annually across Australia. 

Shane is focused on improving the delivery experience through team performance, capability development, innovation, and technology to support safety and efficiency. 

During his time at Australia Post, Shane has held senior leadership roles across Letters, Mail and Parcels in Network Operations. Most recently he has led the team responsible for the strategic direction of the network, overseeing optimisation initiatives, automation capability, and the national development of modern state-of-the art infrastructure. 

Prior to joining Australia Post, Shane spent more than a decade leading teams at General Management and Executive level at TNT/FedEx, and prior to this he worked extensively in Business Development and General Management roles in the printing industry. Shane holds formal qualifications in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma that have supported his career in the logistics sector.
