All walks, one route.
It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it’s important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.
We welcome people all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We’re a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We’re also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us.

Frequently asked questions
Below are some frequently asked questions to assist you during our recruitment process. We encourage you to refer to these as needed.
Application
We're hiring for a range of seasonal roles that will start throughout October and November and, depending on parcel volume, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas.
Our seasonal period runs from October to December so just a heads-up, there might be a little wait between when you apply and when you can start. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you in the loop with updates through email and SMS.
Absolutely! You're welcome to apply for multiple positions with us.
Just keep in mind that different recruiters may manage each role, and there may be different timelines for each shift, role type and location, so we may not always be able to be provide an update on the other positions you're interested in.
If you accidentally declined your interest, no worries! Just shoot us a reply to the original email to let us know you're still keen to join our seasonal team. We'll check the timelines and requirements and let you know if we can move forward with your application.
Let us know your dates in the application form so we can try to align a suitable role based on your availability. If you've already submitted your application, no worries! You'll get a chance to share your dates with the recruitment team as you move forward in the process.
When you apply, you may be asked to select your preferred site location from the options where we currently have roles available, along with your shift availability. While we’ll do our best to consider your preferences, placements are subject to availability and may change, so we can’t always guarantee your preferred site or shift.
Yes, you can. The minimum age to apply is 16. You’ll need to confirm your availability during our Seasonal period and select your preferred start month. These roles suit candidates who can offer consistent availability.
Yes. If you have another job, please let your recruiter know. Your overall working hours must allow you to work safely and meet the availability requirements of your seasonal role. This may be discussed during the recruitment process. |
You can let us know your preference, but we can’t guarantee placement at the same site or shift as someone else. Roles are assigned based on operational needs, so you’ll need to be able to travel to and from your allocated site independently.
Pre-employment checks
Watch the below video for an overview of what to expect during the pre-employment process.
Some of the documents you may need include:
- An Australian Passport
- An Australian Birth Certificate or ImmiCard
- A current photo ID
If you were born in Australia on or after 1986 and don’t have an Australian Passport or Citizenship Certificate, you may be required to provide a parent’s birth certificate.
All documents must be current and in the same name. When it’s time to complete your checks, we’ll provide more detailed information based on your specific circumstances.
You can view the full list of required documents in the link below.
No — you won’t need to pay for any pre-employment checks.
Australia Post covers the cost of your National Criminal History Check and Working Rights Check through our partner, Fit2Work.
Fit2Work will email you a secure link to complete your checks and you will not be asked to make any payment.
If you’re ever prompted to pay, don’t continue. Return to your original email and try the link again.
Australia Post require certain checks to be completed for Seasonal Work in our facilities. We cannot use or accept previously completed police checks, working rights checks, or medical for your application.
You'll receive a text message from JobFit, who manage your medical checks, with a link to their booking portal. If you haven’t been able to book an appointment because there’s nothing showing nearby, give JobFit a call on the number provided. They’ll do their best to see if they can line up something closer to home.
Make sure to book your appointment within 5 business days of receiving the link—after that, the booking request will expire. If it does and you’re still keen to join us, get in touch with your recruiter (their details are in the email you received) and they’ll check if it’s possible to get your medical reinstated.
Already booked but need to reschedule?
Reach out to JobFit directly as soon as you can—plenty of notice makes it much easier to sort something out. Just a heads up: if you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, JobFit won’t be able to book you in again and your checks will be closed.
Vehicle assessment
This is only required for roles that involve driving, such as:
- Seasonal Van Driver
- Seasonal Forklift Driver
- Seasonal Truck Driver
You’ll need a current, valid Probationary or Full Australian driver licence. Requirements may vary by role and state. Some roles may accept Probationary (P) licences, depending on your experience. We’ll confirm your licence type and eligibility during the application.
If you can’t make your vehicle assessment, please reply to your email as soon as possible to let your recruiter know. Spots are limited, but we’ll do our best to find another time that works.
No. You 'll be given an Australia Post vehicle to drive as part of your assessment. All you need to bring is your license or your glasses if you need them (and steel caps & hi-vis for a forklift or truck assessment).
Watch the below video for an overview of what to expect during our Vehicle Assessment:
Onboarding
Once you’ve submitted your New Starter Form, our team will review your details and set you up in our systems, including payroll and onboarding access.
You may not see updates straight away, login access to complete eLearning is usually provided a few days later.
If we need any additional information, your recruiter will be in touch.
New Starter onboarding forms are important because this information helps us process your pay smoothly and gets you set up in our system!
If your New Starter forms are not completed, we won't be able to pay you. You may also have issues with logging into your eLearning and we may not be able to roster you on.
Check your browser is up to date and that pop-ups and cookies are enabled. Confirm all required fields are completed and your details (bank, address, next of kin) are correct.
You’ll also need your USI (Unique Superannuation Identifier) — this isn’t your membership number and can be found on your super statement or provider’s website.
If you haven't started on-site yet, let your recruiter know, and they will help update your details. The sooner you give us the heads up, the more likely we'll be able to fix it before it impacts your pay!
If you're using a superannuation provider that is not self-managed and it differs from the employer-nominated provider, please select the third option, "The APRA fund or retirement savings account".
Commencement
We know your circumstances can change. If you can no longer start in your role, we'd appreciate you reaching out to us as soon as possible. Please email your recruiter in your First Day Details email to let them know, as that helps them to keep things moving!
If you need to change your induction or push back your first day, just check the email titled "Your first day details"and let your recruiter know —they're happy to help! We’ll check what other times we have and if we can reschedule you for a time that works!
Seasonal roles are offered for a fixed period to support busy times across the network. When the Seasonal period ends, the role will conclude. As part of the application, you’ll also be asked if you’re interested in ongoing full‑time or part‑time opportunities, should roles become available.
