Use Post Billpay to pay bills securely

You can pay gas, electricity, phone, council rates, tax, insurance and more with Post Billpay. As long as your bill has a Post Billpay logo with a Billpay code, you can pay it.

How to pay using Post Billpay

  1. Visit Post Billpay online.
  2. Follow the prompts to enter your Billpay code, reference number, amount you’d like to pay and payment details.
  3. Once complete, you’ll receive a payment ID number. This acts as your receipt.

  1. Download the AusPost app to your smartphone.
  2. Open the app and select More, then click on Pay a bill.
  3. Scan your bill, or follow the prompts to enter your Billpay code, payment details and amount you’d like to pay.
  4. Once complete, you’ll receive a payment ID number. This acts as your receipt.

  1. Take your bill into any participating Post Office and we'll process your payment over the counter or at a self-service terminal.
  2. You'll receive a receipt as proof of payment.

  1. Call 13 18 16 from anywhere in Australia.5
  2. Follow the prompts to enter your 4-digit Billpay code and reference number (shown on your bill) via your keypad.
  3. Then, enter your payment details and amount you’d like to pay.
  4. Once complete, you’ll receive a payment ID number. This acts as your receipt.

Australia Post accepts many methods of payment including credit card, debit card, cash, cheque (see disclaimer 2 below), EFTPOS and charge card for Post Billpay payments, based on the requirements of the billing organisation.

Our Post Offices cannot accept cheques issued by financial institutions that have discontinued cheque services. If a Post Office declines to accept a cheque for Post Billpay, please speak to your financial institution about any change in cheque services that may have impacted you.

EFTPOS is not available at some smaller outlets. Minimum purchase available is $10. Bank transaction fees may apply.

Some billers charge a bill payment fee for bills paid in person. Exemptions may apply. For further information please contact your biller direct. Please note that some billing organisations may limit the value of payments or only accept payments from a biller nominated payment method. Payment methods could include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.

Mobile phone calls will be charged at mobile phone rates.
