On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing the prices of the following retail products and services:
- Domestic parcel services (Parcel Post and Express Post)
- International parcel and letter services
- Local pickup and delivery services
- Passport and ID photos
- Mail redirection and mail hold
- Unaddressed Mail service (UMS)
- MyPost Business Pickup service
- MyPost Business rates, which are calculated based on retail prices
Our retail pricing for all products and services is set out in our Post Charges Guide, which will be available online from 1 July 2026.
We’re also updating our agreed rates for business customers across Australia Post domestic and international, and StarTrack contracts. Find out more.
Some product changes will also take effect 1 July 2026 and are listed below.
Domestic parcels
Parcel Post postage costs
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing Parcel Post postage prices by an average of 4.95%.
Express Post postage costs
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing Express Post postage costs by an average of 4.95%.
International parcels and letters
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing the price of international parcels and letters by a weighted average of 3.75%.
International Reply Coupons
From 1 July 2026, International Reply Coupons will no longer be available to purchase. Valid coupons purchased prior to this date can be redeemed for stamps to send a small letter up to 50g by Economy Air until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027, this product will be discontinued by the Universal Postal Union. In line with other postal operators globally, we will no longer accept or redeem International Reply Coupons from other countries from 1 January 2027.
Mail redirection
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing the price of mail redirection (domestic and international) by 5.2%.
Mail hold
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing the price of mail hold services by between 5% and 5.9%.
Christmas mail hold changes
Australia Post will no longer provide business customers, including businesses operating from a Home Office, the opportunity to pay for Mail Hold on a per-week basis, between 20 December and 15 January. Business Mail Hold will continue to be available at a monthly rate during this period, consistent with the offer at all other times throughout the year.
Mail redirection and mail hold terms and conditions changes
We’re also making the following changes to our terms and conditions:
- Confirming that mail redirection and mail hold is available for deceased estates and where authorised under a Power of Attorney.
- Allowing for mail redirection from PO Boxes.
- Including the right for Australia Post to refuse a mail redirection where there are reasonable operational or commercial reasons.
- Removing the ability to extend a mail redirection service over the phone.
- Clarifying that Australia Post’s right to suspend or terminate mail redirection will now include health and safety reasons (including domestic violence), where there are competing or disputed applications or where a redirection is not actually possible.

Local pickup and delivery
On 1 July 2026, the Local Pickup and Delivery service price will increase by 2%.
Where total distance travelled is up to 15km (per trip):
- Scheduled delivery or pickup services start from $15.60
- Scheduled delivery service with same time pickup start from $15.60
- Ad hoc deliveries or pickups start from $16.31, inclusive of a $1 admin fee
- Combined services (for example, scheduled morning delivery and scheduled afternoon pickup) start from $27.04
- Consolidated services (clearing multiple PO Boxes and delivering to a single address) start from $93.60.
Where distance travelled is more than 15km, a surcharge of $1.30 per additional kilometre applies per service, for all services.

ID photos
On 1 July 2026, the price of ID photos will increase from $22.99 to $23.50. Visit passport photos and ID photos for more details.
MyPost Business
On 1 July 2026, we’re increasing the price of MyPost pickup services by 9.7%.
All retail price changes for parcels will be reflected in MyPost Business rates. However, there will be no changes to domestic and international savings from Band 1 to Band 5.

Return Paid Parcels
From 1 July 2026, the price of our Return Paid Parcels service will increase by 4.95%, and the annual fee will change to $140. The service will no longer be available to new customers. However, existing registered customers can continue to use the service as usual.
