Australia Post FY26 results: 2 billion articles delivered, 14 new facilities opened, 1,510 Parcel Lockers, 9.3 million AusPost app users, $40.5 million for fleet electrification, $1.2 million in community grants, $413 million invested, $32 million profit before tax, and 1.4 billion letters delivered.

Today we released our financial results, and I want to thank our 64,000 team members who have worked hard to keep our customers and communities connected across Australia. In FY26, our revenue increased 4% to $9.83 billion and recorded a pre-tax profit of $31.8 million. Excluding one-off property sales, we incurred an underlying loss of $107.6 million.

We are working hard to ensure Australia Post remains an essential part of our national infrastructure, connecting communities, supporting small businesses and helping Australia’s economy grow. However, this result demonstrates the scale of the challenge ahead. Letter volumes have significantly declined, falling 14.7% in the past year, which now means our Letters service has wound back the clock almost 100 years and the number of letters sent today is equivalent to the 1930s. What makes this more challenging is increasing delivery costs and competitive pressures.

The way Australians work, shop and connect has changed. We’re continuing to adapt and invest in the services, technology and infrastructure that support the changing needs of Australians.

During FY26, we invested $413.3 million across fleet, technology, facilities and regional network expansion, while growing parcel volumes by 5.3% and expanding our parcel locker network to 1,510 locker banks nationwide. These investments are about future-proofing our business to continue delivering for our customers and communities for generations to come.

Australia Post is proud of the role we play in powering the growth of eCommerce for Australian retailers and helping businesses grow by connecting them with customers across Australia and beyond.
