We're proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 Australia Post Community Grants program, with more than $700,000 awarded to 81 community-led projects that strengthen connection and support mental health and wellbeing across Australia.
One organisation that shows the lasting impact these grants can have is a 2025 grants recipient She Shed Cairns (📍4870), which helps women recovering from the impacts of natural disasters rebuild confidence, skills and connection through hands-on woodworking workshops.
What starts with learning practical skills often grows into something more. New friendships, increased independence and a stronger sense of belonging ❤️
As a women-led community space in Far North Queensland, She Shed Cairns provides a safe and welcoming environment where women can come together to create, learn and support one another while reducing social isolation and building resilience for the future.
Since 2013, Australia Post has awarded more than 1,000 Community Grants, helping local organisations create meaningful impact in their communities.
Congratulations to all of our 2026 recipients. We can't wait to see the difference your projects make.
