Brigid Canny is a purpose-driven leader with more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of sustainable business and social impact. She is an independent impact adviser and consultant, partnering with organisations on strategy, co-design and social impact initiatives.

Brigid has spent her career championing youth-led change, with a strong focus on young people, the future of work and intergenerational equity. She spent seven years as CEO of YLab, leading its growth from an early-stage concept into a sustainable social enterprise that employed more than 200 young people with lived experience of barriers to inclusion.

Throughout her career, Brigid has led youth-focused organisations in genuine partnership with young people, ensuring their experiences and perspectives shape the work. This has included national co-design projects with the Foundation for Young Australians, Beyond Blue, ANZ and the Australian Electoral Commission, as well as place-based youth employment programs in Melbourne’s west.

Brigid holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Group Facilitation and a Graduate Diploma in Documentary Film from the Victorian College of the Arts. She has also served on several non-profit boards and advisory committees.
