Brendon Riley was appointed to the Australia Post Board in August 2026 (term expires August 2029). 

Brendon is a business leader with over 40 years of experience across Australian and International markets, focused on technology, transformation, infrastructure, complex operations and customer management.  Brendon retired as the Chief Executive Officer of Telstra InfraCo on 31 August 2025, where he led Telstra’s dedicated infrastructure company and was responsible for a portfolio of critical assets and services, including fibre networks, mobile  towers, data centres, subsea cables, satellite facilities, exchanges and supporting infrastructure.  Prior to this he held a number of senior executive roles at Telstra including Group Executive, Enterprise & International and Chief Operations Officer.   

Before joining Telstra, Brendon spent more than 25 years with IBM in a number of senior executive roles across Asia and Europe, most recently as General Manager IBM Europe and Chief Executive Officer IBM United Kingdom & Ireland.  He has also held a range of governance roles across corporate and not-for-profit organisations. 

Brendon was recently appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ventia, and serves on the Digital, Business Development and Audit & Risk Committees. 

Brendon holds a Bachelor Business (IT) from Curtin University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  He was born and raised in Collie, Western Australia and now resides in Sydney.
