Import restrictions
If an item is subject to import restrictions, it means that provisions must be met before it will be released from customs in the destination country, territory or region.

The Australian Government, in response to United Nations Security Council resolutions, sanctions the export of goods and commodities to Iraq. The sanctions or exemptions may vary at any time.

Iraq does not pay compensation for articles containing liquids, substances that easily liquefy, fragile items or perishable items. - International Registered Post - Letters
Prohibitions for International Registered Post - Letters includes; coins, bank notes, securities of any kind payable to the bearer, travellers’ cheques, platinum, gold or silver whether manufactured or not, precious stones, jewels or other valuable articles.
