The Western Bulldogs, originally Footscray, joined the VFL in 1925 and quickly made history with a finals appearance in 1938. Their first premiership came in 1954, led by stars like Jack Collins and EJ Whitten. Facing a financial crisis in 1989, the club was saved by the "Fightback" campaign, showcasing its powerful community spirit. In 2016, the Bulldogs claimed a fairytale premiership from seventh place on the ladder. Deeply connected to Melbourne's west, the club now focuses on youth development and Whitten Oval's redevelopment, blending tradition with ambition as it builds a bold future-true to the Bulldog spirit.
