Because perfume is a flammable liquid, it’s classified as a ‘dangerous and prohibited’ item, which means it can only be sent by selected senders under contract conditions due to safety regulations.
If you sent the item using one of our trackable services with a tracking number, you’ll be able to see when it’s delivered through our online tracking tool.
Incoming international items
You’ll need to check with the delivery/courier service used in the originating country regarding any available tracking.
Check our tracking service to read more about what tracking events will be captured for different delivery services.
Please note, if you used an untracked service or don’t have a record of the tracking number, you’ll need to contact the addressee to check if the item has been delivered.

If you send a letter or parcel without a stamp or without enough postage, what happens to your item will depend on whether we can contact you or not.
If you have included your return address
In most cases, we’ll deliver the item and send you an ‘underpaid mail’ notice letting you know that we have invoiced you for the outstanding postage, plus a small service fee.
If you haven’t included a return address
If we can’t contact you, we’ll send the addressee a ‘more to pay’ notice asking that they pay the outstanding amount plus a small service fee when collecting the item from a local Post Office.

If It Packs, It Posts is an alternate term for our flat rate packaging range. If It Packs 5kg or under in our flat rate packaging, It Posts in Australia for a flat rate postage cost.

Our posties usually deliver between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
During peak periods, posties sometimes work weekends and extended hours to move more parcels through our network.
But if your parcel hasn't arrived by 5pm, it's likely that it will be prioritised for delivery the next day.
Parcel delivery times can vary depending on a number of factors including local volumes, weather and traffic conditions.

We provide an ‘expected delivery date’ for many of the items we deliver.
To make sure the date we give you is as accurate as possible, we need to know a few details about the item, including:
where it’s going to and from
the service being used to deliver it
Why we’re not able to provide a delivery estimate
For some items – although the address is on the parcel – our tracking system doesn’t have the information it needs to calculate an expected delivery date.
This might be because:
the item has been posted in a street posting box
some of the details we need haven’t been included in the information provided by the sender
the address is hand-written on the item
it’s an international item being delivered by other carriers.
How to check your ‘expected delivery date’
If your item fits one of the scenarios where we can’t automatically generate an expected delivery date, we can still provide an estimate. You’re able to do this by entering your postcode on our tracking tool.

‘Underpaid mail’ notice
You may have received an ‘Underpaid mail’ notice if you sent a letter or parcel, but didn't pay enough postage for that item.
If you receive this notice, it means we've delivered the item in good faith. The notice will let you know how much you still need to pay, including a small service fee.
‘More to pay’ notice
You may receive a ‘more to pay’ notice if someone sends you an item (usually a parcel) but they haven't paid enough postage for that item. We'll only send recipients a ‘more to pay’ notice where we can’t identify the sender of the item.
If you receive this notice, it means your item is being held at a local Post Office, where you can pay the extra postage costs plus a small service fee and collect your item.
