A verified mobile number enables access to services like SMS delivery notifications, Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect addresses. Without a mobile number, updates will be sent by email, but some services will be limited. We take your personal information seriously – see our privacy policy for more information.
Your mobile number is used to identify you, so it can only be provided on one Australia Post account. If you provide the same mobile number for more than one account, we'll automatically remove your number from the older account.
Important: Having multiple personal accounts isn’t recommended, as it can lead to an inconsistent delivery experience. If you have multiple personal accounts, raise an enquiry and ask us to merge them. If you don’t provide the same email address every time when shopping online, add all your email addresses to a personal account – this way, all deliveries will show in your MyPost account.
If you'd like to update your mobile number, log in to your MyPost account at auspost.com.au then go to "Manage account" > "Profile" and under "Contact details," select "Manage" to update your number.
Telecommunications companies sometimes recycle unused mobile numbers and assign them to new owners. If you changed your number without updating your account, and your old number was reassigned to someone who used it to set up a MyPost account, you’ll get a notification to let you know that the old number has been removed from your account.
With your Australia Post Concession card you can purchase 75 stamps each year of your concession entitlement from the 'Valid from' date.
If you’re under 60
You’ll be able to use your Australia Post Concession card for one year from the ‘Valid from’ date, even if your federal government concession card has expired.
When you first attempt to purchase concession stamps after your one year anniversary, you might be asked to show your federal government concession card to demonstrate your ongoing eligibility for Australia Post Concession. If you’re still eligible, your Australia Post Concession eligibility will be extended for another year.
Please note that even if you’re not still eligible to receive the concession entitlement, you’ll still be able to use your Australia Post Concession card to access other non-concession MyPost services – it just won’t allow you to purchase concession stamps. You won’t be issued with a new MyPost card.
If you’re over 60
Your Australia Post Concession benefits automatically continue. You will not be asked to show your federal government concession card or to prove ongoing eligibility each year.
Yes, you may be asked to provide some additional information to access some services, but your Australia Post account log in details and password will also provide you with access to MyPost. Keep in mind that you may want to keep your personal account services separate to other account types, like MyPost Business – if you don’t want merged information, ensure you create another account with different logins.

We'll issue an Australia Post customer number (APCN) when you create any Australia Post account. Find your APCN at the top right-hand side of your screen, whenever you log into your Australia Post account.
Applications for an Australia Post Concession account need to be made in person at a Post Office. This is so our staff can view and verify the government concession card, or other relevant documents, that qualify you for concession.
