You can complete an application to redirect or hold mail on behalf of other people, such as elderly or sick relatives who cannot apply themselves. Such applications need to be lodged in-store at a Post Office along with proof that you have the right to act on behalf of that person.

To apply, simply download and complete an application to redirect mail form, or pick up a mail redirection form from your nearest outlet.

Due to security requirements, you cannot apply online to have mail redirected or held on behalf of others unless you are also listed on the application.

Yes. To redirect mail from both a street address and a Post Office Box, you must lodge a separate application for each.

We may not be able to process your Mail Hold service application if mail to be held is difficult to separate from other mail going to the same address. This may be the case for addresses such as large businesses, caravan parks, hotels and nursing homes.

If mail is addressed to more than one person, and only one of the addressees has applied for a Mail Redirection service, the mail will be delivered as addressed (that is, it will not be redirected).

If an article is addressed to more than one person, and the addressees have both applied for redirections but to different addresses, the article will be treated as "left address" and returned to sender.

Unfortunately, we may not be able to process Mail Redirection or Mail Hold applications if it will be difficult to isolate redirected or held mail from other mail being sent from that address.

This may be the case for addresses such as large businesses, caravan parks, hotels, and nursing homes.
