No, Landlord Insurance doesn’t cover contents owned by your tenants. It only covers the contents that belong to you at the property that is being rented.

Yes, if you’ve chosen to cover the building, our Landlord Insurance product covers the cost to repair, replace or rebuild your rental property, and includes costs such as demolition, removal of debris and architect and surveyor fees. It’s important to make sure your buildings sum insured is adequate. Our Landlord Insurance product also includes cover for loss of rental income and damage to your property by tenants.

Our Landlord Insurance product covers the cost of repairs and replacements up to your nominated sum(s) insured, due to events such as fire, flood, storm, vandalism and theft.

Our Landlord Insurance product also includes as standard (among other events):

accidental damage cover caused by you, your tenant or paying guest
vandalism, malicious acts or theft by tenants or paying guests
damage by a tenant's pet up to $4,000
up to $30 million legal liability cover
clean up due to illegal drug activity up to $35,000
electrical motor burnout cover for motors under 10 years old
loss of rent after an insured event if your property is unlivable up to 24 months.

Under our Landlord Insurance product, if you have buildings cover or you are a strata lot owner with contents cover only, we’ll cover your legal liability for personal injury and damage to property arising from an event at your rental property.

Our Landlord Insurance product covers your legal liability up to $30 million. It’s important to read the Landlord Insurance Combined Financial Services Guide and Product Disclosure Statement for limits, exclusions and conditions that apply.
