Choose from 3 tracking options

Track your item

To track your item immediately, all you need is a tracking number.

Tracking delivery status

The tracking status of your item may not change quickly as there are a number of steps before delivery. For example, 'it's on its way' means your parcel has been posted by the sender, processed by us and is moving through our sorting facilities. Depending on how far your parcel needs to travel to be delivered, and the time of the year, the tracking status may be 'it's on its way' for a while.

Attempted delivery photo coming soon

Customers have told us that accurate and timely updates are a key part of a great delivery experience. Starting 19 May, if our driver can’t leave the parcel at the address, MyPost customers will be able to view a photo of the delivery attempt in the AusPost app, with this feature being gradually introduced over two weeks.

The parcel delivery process won’t change. Posties and drivers are still required to knock three times and prove via GPS tracking that they were at the address.

To deliver parcels to you, our drivers need reasonable, safe access to your property. We infer your permission to access and deliver, or attempt to deliver, and to take photos.

To opt out of attempted delivery photos, please call us on 13 POST (13 76 78).

Parcels may be delivered via another state

Our largest parcel processing centres are in Redbank QLD, Chullora NSW and Sunshine West VIC. We route our interstate parcels through one of these three facilities, which are capable of faster sorting and processing. For example, a regular parcel lodged in QLD destined for SA may be processed through our mechanised facility in Victoria.

This allows us to take advantage of the best sorting capabilities within our processing network to deliver your item as expected.

Terms and conditions apply. View AusPost app for more details.

1 While we endeavour to meet this timetable, the actual delivery speed will depend on where in each state/territory the item is being posted from/to, and the level of congestion in our delivery network at the relevant time. All delivery times are based on the number of business days items take to arrive following the day of posting. See delivery times for specific routes and read about disruptions and updates to our services.
