Becoming a business customer is easy. It only takes a few minutes, and best of all, it's free.

Business Credit Accounts

Opening a Business Credit Account with us is a great way to streamline your business, manage your deliveries and access a range of services to help your business grow.

It's free to apply and only takes a few minutes. Once approved, you can charge the following products and services to your account:

  • Letter and parcel services
  • Postage meter resets
  • Pre-paid envelopes and satchels (including Express Post)
  • Courier service
  • Packaging
  • Mail Redirection and Mail Holding services
  • Data and marketing solutions
  • Stationery and office supplies

How to register

Applying for a Business Credit Account is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Download and complete the Business Credit Account application form (85kb) or pick one up from your local Post Office.
  2. If you would prefer to make payments via direct debit, download and complete our direct debit authority form (58kb).
  3. Send your completed application form (and direct debit authority form if required) to:

Fees

It's free to become an Australia Post business customer.

The following fees apply to Australia Post Business Credit Accounts:

  • No application fee
  • No ongoing administration fees
  • $100 annual cheque fee
  • $10 dishonour fee (direct debit and cheque)
  • $15 late payment fee

Payment options

Payment of your Business Credit Account can be made via cash, cheque, money order, direct debit or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You can also pay and view your invoices online through the My Business Account service.

Standard payment terms, from the date of issue of the tax invoice, are 14 days for Electronic Funds Transfer or 21 days for Direct Debit for approved customers.

To pay your account by direct debit, complete the direct debit authority form (58kb) and return it with your Business Credit Account application.

If you are an existing business credit customer, you can email this form to your nominated credit officer or to the address provided on the form.

If paying by EFT, please include your customer account number as a sender's reference. Remittances can be sent to the email address shown on your statement.

If paying by cheque, please include the bottom section of your invoice/statement or remittance advice showing your customer account number.

Statements

Business Credit Account customers receive a monthly statement. If you require a copy of your statement, contact your nominated credit representative.

You can retrieve a copy of your pricing statement by contacting 1300 656 772 and quoting the transaction ID reference number which can be found on your tax invoice (your reference number will start with either a '12' or a '13').

For all other billing queries, please contact your credit representative.

For Post Office Box cancellations, please contact the post office where your box is held.

Proof of delivery

To retrieve a copy of proof of delivery, you will require a copy of the mailing statement. This can be obtained from the post office where the original transaction was charged.
