If your application is approved, your new passport and supporting documentation will be delivered separately by Her Majesty's Passport Office.

How to apply

Follow these simple steps to renew or apply for your British passport.

Step 1: Complete your application

Visit the British government website, fill out your application online, pay your passport application fee and print the declaration form.

Step 2: Have your photo taken

If you need a passport photo, visit a participating retail outlet to have your quality passport-compliant photograph taken. Use our Post Office Locator to find one near you.

Step 3: Review and send your application

We can help you prepare your application, declaration, photos and documentation at one of our participating retail outlets.

What to bring:

  • Your completed application form
  • All documentation required by the British government
  • Two identical colour ID photos that meet British government requirements.

Please note: For first time applicants and renewals for applicants under the age of 12, 1 photo must be endorsed and signed by a counter-signatory#. Photos for all other renewal applications can be taken during the same visit.
