Important pricing updates

From 1 July 2026, we’re updating our retail prices for mail redirection and mail hold. We’re also updating our Terms & Conditions (PDF 1.3MB)

How it works

Mail redirection forwards your letters and parcels from your old address to your new address.

  • Redirect eligible letters and parcels for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
  • Include up to 6 names on your application (e.g. people you live with, your legal name before marriage, chosen English name, alias or names you will get sent mail to).
  • Opt-in to notify selected entities such as your insurers and energy providers of your new address.
  • Extend, alter or cancel your existing service.
  • Apply for concession service if you have a valid concession card.3

To extend your mail redirection online or at a Post Office, you'll need your 9-digit customer reference number.

You can find this number on:

  • Your original receipt, confirmation or extension letter
  • Your MyPost dashboard (if you used the same email address for your mail service and MyPost account).

The extension to your service can take up to 3 business days. Your extension letter includes a pay by date. If you miss the pay by date, you’ll need to take out a new service, rather than extend.

You can call us on 13 76 78 if you want to remove your mail redirection service from your dashboard.
