Letter deliveries have changed

From 15 April 2024, estimated delivery timeframes for regular and priority letters have changed. Please note, letters may be delivered earlier than the timeframes shown on our website as we make progressive delivery model changes across the country through to the end of 2025.

Use PreSort Letters to save money

PreSort Letters is a cost-effective way to send fully addressed mail. You can get discounted postage rates if you're sending more than 300 machine-addressed items, all barcoded and sorted.

As well as Priority delivery, PreSort Letters service offers the option of a lower cost Regular delivery service for non-time critical mail.

  • All items must carry a barcode
  • All items must be sorted into particular postcode ranges

Get started

To apply, you'll need to complete a PreSort Letters application form (PDF 60kB) and present it at your approved lodgement facility1.

When this is approved, you can start lodging PreSort Letters at your approved lodgement facility.

1 Approved lodgement facilities are those you nominated when you applied for an Australia Post business credit account. If you don't have an Australia Post business credit account, you can lodge your articles at a Post Office.
