It's easy to order your Travellers Cheques. Just follow these simple steps:

  2. Check currency rates
  3. Order your Travellers Cheques online or in-store
  4. Collect your Travellers Cheques from your chosen Post Office#. Don't forget to bring your purchase receipt and photo ID with you.

You can order your Travellers Cheques from over 3,200 participating Post Offices and pay with cash or EFTPOS^ (cheque or savings accounts only).

Collecting your Travellers Cheques

Collecting cheques

If you order by midday (AEST) in a Post Office, your Travellers Cheques will be ready to collect at the same Post Office from 4pm the next business day* in metro areas (regional areas may take 2 days). 

If you order online, you should allow 3-4 business days before collection from your nominated Post Office.

We'll confirm the collection date when you place your order. 

Proof of ID requirements

The only person who can collect your order is you. The ID you will need to bring with you is outlined below. We'll give you a sealed envelope containing your Travellers Cheques, and we recommend you check the contents carefully before you leave the Post Office. 

We also recommend you sign each cheque immediately in the top left hand corner and record and save the serial numbers to help protect yourself.

    When you come in to collect your Travellers Cheques, you'll need to show 1 valid form of government-issued photo ID that shows your signature (e.g. driver's licence or passport).

    You'll need to show us 2 forms of ID:

    • One primary ID that is government-issued with a photo and signature (e.g. driver's licence or passport) AND
    • One secondary ID with a signature (e.g. credit card).
