Form design

Your forms will be designed to effectively capture electronic data, helping to increase compliance and minimise processing time. We'll also ensure that your new forms fully integrate with your existing policies, procedures and systems.

Printing and distribution

We offer a range of printing and distribution options, including:

  • high-quality bulk printing and distribution to Australia Post retail outlets
  • cost-effective on-demand printing of forms at our retail outlets

Form display

An easy way to reach out to your existing customer base, as well as extending into new markets, is to display your forms at an agreed selection of our retail outlets. We can also manage the replenishment and distribution of your forms, making it easier to control supply.

Forms validation

Our form validation service offers a convenient and effective way for your customers to submit their completed forms. When they bring their form into one of our retail outlets, we'll follow a scripted procedure to ensure all mandatory fields have been completed correctly and all supporting documents have been verified. We'll then forward the forms to you by your preferred delivery method at the end of each business day.

Electronic data capture and validation options

We can scan your application forms using our electronic data capture technology which records typed and handwritten text, checkboxes and barcodes, and validates information according to your business rules. The data and images are then sent to you as an electronic file for further processing.

Australia Post Smart Forms™ make it easier for you to collect information from your customers over the internet.  Electronic forms are simple and convenient for customers to fill out online, or print and complete offline. Smart Forms™ can also be converted into 'talking forms' for vision-impaired users.

Key features of Smart Forms™

Flexibility

Smart Forms™ can be modified to suit your particular needs. Based on the selections made by your customer, unnecessary data fields can be automatically hidden or additional fields shown making your forms easy for users to complete.

Field validation

We use validation rules and drop-down lists to ensure information has been correctly entered into each field. We'll alert your customers to validation errors with helpful feedback functions like coloured text and borders. Fields can also be automatically pre-populated based on calculations or lookups to external reference tables.  

Version control

We use built-in form expiry criteria so that when you switch to a new version of a form, the old one will no longer be available. This helps to reduce both the cost and complexity of supporting multiple form versions.  

2D barcodes

We can use 2D barcode technology to reduce systems integration costs, lower Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and data entry costs, and better protect your customers' private information.
