Closure of Digital Receipt Vault

Between 21 August 2017 and 27 June 2019, Australia Post customers were able to request a digital receipt for purchases made at a Post Office. These digital receipts – also known as electronic receipts – were issued in lieu of a paper receipt to show a legal proof of purchase. These digital receipts are stored in the Australia Post Digital Receipt Vault.  

Between 21 August 2017 and 27 June 2019, you elected to send your digital receipt for a purchase made at a Post Office to the Digital Receipt Vault.  

On 1 October 2022, the Digital Receipt Vault will be closed for accessing receipts. After this date, you won’t be able to access your digital receipts from the Digital Receipt Vault.

In 2019, we commenced sending digital receipts for Post Office purchases directly to customers via email. As a result, no digital receipts have been sent to the Digital Receipt Vault in over three years.

Access to the Digital Receipt Vault will close on 1 October 2022. From this date, you won’t be able to access receipts stored in the Digital Receipt Vault.

Up until 30 September 2022, you can download your digital receipts at https://receipts.auspost.com.au.

No. Once the Digital Receipt Vault is closed, you’ll no longer be able to access your digital receipts.You can access and download your digital receipts until 30 September 2022 at https://receipts.auspost.com.au.

Once the Digital Receipt Vault is closed, we will securely destroy all digital receipts stored in the Digital Receipt Vault. Once these are destroyed, you’ll no longer be able to access your digital receipts.
