Extra Cover
These products are suitable for sending items valued up to $100. For items valued over $100, we recommend purchasing Extra Cover, which provides coverage up to $500 for domestic letter with tracking. Extra Cover costs $2.50 per $100 (or part thereof).
If your item is valued over $500, we recommend using Registered Post and adding Extra Cover, which provides coverage up to $5,000.
How do I add Extra Cover? Buy Extra Cover from your local Post Office when you send your item. It is not automatically included in your Online Shop order. Extra Cover is calculated at the Post Office depending on what you're sending.
What if I don't add Extra Cover? If your parcel is lost or damaged, you may be compensated up to $100 plus a postage refund. Unless we're required by law, we don't accept liability for your delivery being late, or any loss or damage not caused by us. Extra Cover and any compensation offered under Australia Post's Terms and Conditions are in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
