2024 Christmas Chequebook of 100 x $3 Stamps – Religious
Product overview
- Contains 20 sheetlets of 5 x $3 self-adhesive stamps
- Easy tear-off booklets for convenient wallet storage
- Part of the 2024 Christmas stamp issue
This year’s two religious stamps feature artworks from one of the treasures of the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne. The work known as the Aspremont–Kievraing Hours is a hand-written book, or manuscript, made in north-eastern France around 1300, more than 700 years ago. The manuscript is a religious prayer book, and the numerous illustrations or miniatures are painted with precious pigments and adorned with gold leaf. Several tell the Christmas story of the birth of Jesus Christ.
