How we're tracking

Most domestic deliveries are arriving in good time.

Some may take longer than usual due to limited domestic flights.

For more info, please check the delivery times below.

Next-business-day guarantee suspended

Express Post is still faster, but current circumstances mean we can’t move items as quickly.

Changes to letter deliveries

We’re now delivering letters every 2 business days in metro areas.

Our Priority Letter service is suspended from 1 June 2020 until 1 July 2021. A temporary alternative Priority service is available for certain types of bulk business letters.

12 August 2020

Current operating constraints and COVID-19 restrictions mean we’ve had to temporarily change our delivery frequencies.

Express Post guarantee temporarily suspended

16 April 2020

Express Post is still our fastest postal option, but current operating constraints mean we can’t guarantee next-business-day delivery right now.

Metropolitan collection times – temporary changes

6 April 2020

We’ve brought forward our collection times for all metropolitan postal services including regular letters, Express Post and Parcel Post.

1 Domestic delivery times for Express Post and Parcel Post reflect recent past performance and are indicative of our current performance, but not a guarantee of future performance. All delivery times are based on the number of business days items take to arrive following the day of posting. The actual delivery speed will depend on where in each state/territory the item is being posted from/to, and the level of restrictions and congestion in our delivery network at the time of posting.

2 The Express Post next-business-day delivery network operates between capital cities (excluding Darwin, and CBD only in Perth) and some major centres. Items sent to addresses outside this network will travel by the fastest available transport, but won’t be delivered on the next business day.

3 Between 8 April 2021 and 21 April 2021, at least 70% of items arrived within this time.

4 Between 8 April 2021 and 21 April 2021, at least 95% of items arrived within this time.

5 Delivery time estimate is based on low volumes and may be less reliable.
