About the Academy

Our Tech Academy is a 2-year program aimed at training an exceptional digital and tech workforce for our future. On offer to successful candidates is a great starting salary, professional bootcamp style training, on-the-job project experience and mentoring to build a career within a growing tech world at Australia Post. To top it all off, on successful completion of the program there will be opportunities for ongoing employment in our Technology or Digital departments.

[John Cox] Are you ready to upgrade your career? Then you should consider the Australia Post Tech Academy. I’m John Cox, I’m the CIO here at Australia Post and we’re designing a program that we think is going to completely change your life. So this is a program that has not been done anywhere else in the country. It’s a two year paid opportunity of which you’ll spend the first 12 weeks in an intensive bootcamp learning about existing and emerging technologies. After that, you’ll do four rotations across our business.

[Anastasia Kalomallos] The Australia Post Tech Academy is open to everybody. It is open to people of various backgrounds, of various ages, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got a technology background, in fact you don’t even have to have any technology skills. You can come and learn those technology skills with us here at Australia Post.

[John] So this role will give you an opportunity to understand existing technology but also some of the newer technologies such as blockchain, Internet of Things, machine learning, chatbots, new and emerging technology that most technologists aren’t getting exposure to at the moment. The kind of people we’re looking for have high learning agility. People who are curious, who want to expand their skills, who want to make a difference in the community. Australia Post sees itself and is a critical part of the Australian community. We’re in every town, we deliver to every address, and we’re looking for people who are passionate about changing the way we deliver, the way we make a difference. So if you’re the kind of person who loves to work for an organisation that is all about a clear purpose then this is the place for you.

[Anastasia] If you have the resilience, and the passion to upgrade to a career in technology, come and join us at the Australia Post Tech Academy.

Are you techy at heart?

The Australia Post Tech Academy is a program aimed at removing the barriers for those individuals looking to commence a career in technology.
