You’ll need to submit your travel insurance claim within 60 days of the return date that you gave us when taking out your policy. If you’re waiting on documentation to support your claim, submit your travel insurance claim form online or by mail to start the process – you can always submit additional documentation later.

If you’ve missed the 60 day time frame, you’ll need to include a covering letter with your claim form explaining why you were unable to submit your claim. If you think you might exceed the 60 days, but are still within the timeframe, please contact us on 1300 728 015 to let us know.

We’ll always try our hardest to deal with your claim promptly and fairly. If you’re not happy with the outcome of your claim, you can escalate your claim using the steps below:

You can refer our decision to the Customer Relations Team, who can review your travel insurance claim and make an independent decision
If you’re not satisfied with this resolution, we’ll refer your claim to the underwriter of our travel insurance products
In the event you’re still unhappy with the outcome, you can contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, the travel insurance industry's independent external complaints scheme
