Democratic Republic of Congo
18 March 2025: Items sent to and from the Democratic Republic of Congo may experience significant delays as conflict in the region has severely disrupted postal operations and delivery services.
Morocco
7 April 2025: Items sent to and from Morocco may experience delays due to a fire at the international airport’s import warehouse, which has impacted postal operations and delivery services.
Sudan
Australia Post has temporarily suspended all postal services to and from Sudan due to civil unrest.

India
From May 2024, India customs has imposed a Know Your Customer (KYC) legal requirement, which mandates that government-recognised identity and address proof must be presented to customs during shipment clearance for items sent via International Courier to India. To avoid customs delays and for a smooth clearance process, ensure you inform your recipient to complete the KYC process with the customs authority. Philippines
9 May 2025: Items sent to and from the Philippines may experience delays due to the declared holiday on 12 May 2025, to accommodate national and local elections.
South Korea
16 May 2025: Items sent to and from South Korea may experience delays from 29 May 2025 due to early voting for the presidential election on 3 June 2025.
24 April 2025: Items sent to and from South Korea may experience delays due to policy decisions that will result in a postal delivery suspension within South Korea starting on 1 May 2025.
Sri Lanka
4 June 2025: Items sent to and from Sri Lanka may experience delays as Sri Lanka Post clears the backlog of mail from union strikes which took place at the end of May 2025.

Belgium
25 April 2025: Items sent to and from Belgium may experience delays due to union strikes commencing on 29 April, which may impact postal operations and delivery services.
Greece
8 April 2025: Items sent to and from Greece may experience delays due to union strikes commencing on 9 April. The strikes are expected to impact postal operations and delivery services.
Italy
19 June 2025: Items sent to and from Italy may experience delays due to planned union strikes commencing on 20 June, which may impact postal operations and delivery services.
21 May 2025: Items sent to and from Italy may experience delays due to union strikes on 19 and 20 May, which could impact postal operations and delivery services.
6 May 2025: Items sent to and from Italy may experience delays as Italy Post works to clear a backlog of parcels resulting from high inbound volumes.
7 April 2025: Items sent to and from Italy may experience delays due to IT and data processing issues, which has resulted in a backlog of mail. Delays are to be expected as Italy Post works to clear the backlog and resume normal operations and delivery services.
26 March 2025: From 31 March to 30 October 2025, items sent to and from Italy, particularly the Sicily region, may be delayed due to airport closures in the evening, which may impact postal operations and delivery services.
Netherlands
19 June 2025: Items sent to and from the Netherlands may experience delays due to significant road disruptions that are expected in the Amsterdam–The Hague–Rotterdam area from 22 to 26 June while the NATO Summit is being hosted.
Russia
Australia Post has temporarily suspended all postal services to and from the Russian Federation.
The temporary suspension will remain in place until Australia Post can ensure compliance with all relevant sanctions requirements, and is subject to the availability of transport to and from Russia.
Slovakia
28 March 2025: Items sent to and from Slovakia may be delayed due to emergency measures for a recent outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. This may impact postal operations and delivery services.
Ukraine
There may be delays to letters and parcels sent to and from the Ukraine due to:
- limited airline capacity
- some postcodes being currently inaccessible
- planned power outages

Iran
14 October 2024: Due to limited flight capacity, there are temporary service suspensions in place for items sent to and from Iran. Service suspensions will remain in place until Australia Post can guarantee availability of transport to and from Iran, and is able to deliver items. Customers who have recently sent items to Iran may have their items returned. We apologise for any inconvenience and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Iraq
17 June 2025: Due to limited flight capacity, there are temporary service suspensions in place for items sent to and from Iraq. Service suspensions will remain in place until Australia Post can guarantee availability of transport to and from Iraq, and is able to deliver items. Customers who have recently sent items to Iraq may have their items returned. We apologise for any inconvenience and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Israel
17 June 2025: There are temporary service suspensions in place for items sent to and from Israel, as Israel declared a special state of emergency as of 13 June 2025, which will remain in place until further notice. Service suspensions will remain in place until Australia Post can guarantee availability of transport to and from Israel, and is able to deliver items. Customers who have recently sent items to Israel may have their items returned. We apologise for any inconvenience and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Jordan
17 June 2025: Due to limited flight capacity, there are temporary service suspensions in place for items sent to and from Jordan. Service suspensions will remain in place until Australia Post can guarantee availability of transport to and from Jordan, and is able to deliver items. Lebanon
17 June 2025: Due to limited flight capacity, there are temporary service suspensions in place for items sent to and from Lebanon. Türkiye
19 June 2025: Items sent to and from Türkiye may experience delays due to airline disruptions, which may impact postal operations and delivery services.

Canada
17 June 2025: International Courier parcels and letters services to Canada are temporarily suspended. All other postal parcels and letters services (including, International Express and International Standard) remain available. We thank you for your understanding.
26 May 2025: Canada Post has advised that the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are continuing with negotiations. As of this date, a nationwide overtime ban for CUPW-represented employees has been launched as part of their legal strike action. This means that Canada Post will continue delivery services however, delivery times may be impacted. We will continue to keep you informed and up to date as the situation develops.
United States of America
14 May 2025: The combined US tariff rate on goods manufactured in China, Hong Kong and Macau entering into the US using Australia Post’s postal services will be cut from 145% to 30%. This 30% tariff will apply for a 90-day period from 14 May 2024. Visit the United States International Post Guide for detailed information on new tariffs and other updates.

Grenada
27 May 2025: Items sent to and from Grenada may experience delays due to planned union strike action, effective from 26 May, which could impact postal operations and delivery services.
Panama
8 May 2025: Items sent to and from Panama may experience delays due to protests resulting in road closures, which has disrupted postal operations and delivery services.
Peru
From May 2023, due to compliance issues with national legislation governing items into Peru, SERPOST is only accepting items transported by air. Sea Mail will be suspended until further notice.

New Zealand
1 May 2025: Items sent to and from New Zealand may experience delays as New Zealand Post works to clear the backlog of mail as a result of the public holiday break.
Timor Leste
5 May 2025: Items sent to and from Timor Leste may experience delays as efforts are being made to clear the backlog of mail resulting from the public holiday period of 17-21 April.
Vanuatu
7 April 2025: Items sent to and from Vanuatu may be significantly delayed due to a limited airline capacity, which will impact postal operations and delivery services.
