Silo Art tops 2018 Stamp Poll
The Silo Art stamp issue has been voted Australia’s favourite stamp design for 2018 by collectors and stamp enthusiasts. There were 461 respondents who completed the online poll, ranking either their “top 5” stamp issues and least favourite issue, or selecting to rank each Australian and territories issue in order of preference.
A stamp issue that strikes gold!
Today, Australia is ranked the second-largest gold producer behind China. In 2016/17 alone, Australia produced 284.5 tonnes or 9.15 million ounces of gold. While nowadays, miners today sit in air-conditioned vehicles operating large pieces of advanced machinery, during the gold rush of the 19th century, miners panned for gold in creeks and rivers or dug underground in highly dangerous conditions.

Recognising the legacy of Robin Boyd
Robin Boyd CBE (1919–71) was a leading architect, writer, cultural commentator and educator in Australia from the late 1940s through the 50s and 60s. Born into a family renowned for its artistic achievements, particularly in painting, he carved out his own creative path, winning significant national and international accolades for his modernist approach.

From Pitcairn to Norfolk through stamps
This fascinating story of the third British settlement on Norfolk Island is the subject of the Norfolk Island: Pitcairn Settlement stamp issue, which will be released on 22 January 2019. The stamps, designed by Jo Muré of the Australia Post Design Studio, feature engravings of George Hunn Nobbs and Queen Victoria.
Celebrating 70 years of Australian citizenship
On 26 January 2019 it will be 70 years since Australian citizenship was introduced into law, creating for the first time a legal status of being uniquely Australian. During that time Australia has welcomed more than five million new citizens to its shores.
