Australia Post today welcomed historic changes to the regulations governing the organisation, with new Prescribed Performance Standards effective from Monday, 15 April 2024.

Australia Post’s latest safety data has revealed over 81,000 hazards were logged by Posties in the past 12 months – a staggering average of more than 200 per day.  

Only 37% of Australians reportedly believe we are in an extinction crisis, despite Australia’s most iconic and loved animal, the koala, being officially listed as an endangered species on Australia’s east coast.    

Australia Post welcomes the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) final view that it has no objection to a proposed price increase for reserved ordinary letters, which includes a 30-cent increase to the Basic Postage Rate (BPR) from $1.20 to $1.50.
