Coronavirus: Network impacts and delivery delays

Our priority at Australia Post, is to protect our people, customers and community so we can continue to serve Australians both during, and after, the current Coronavirus pandemic.

We’re doing everything possible to keep delivering for Australia. Our Post Offices remain open and our posties and drivers are still out delivering each and every day.

Customers can be assured they will continue to be able to send and receive parcels and mail, pay bills and use Bank@Post during this time.

Delays on parcels from USA

13 October 2020

During to the recent restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne, Australia Post processed International parcels destined for Melbourne from an alternative location.

Parcels coming in from the USA were diverted through our Perth gateway facility which is currently experiencing congestion, resulting in additional delivery delays.

We are monitoring the situation closely and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Price changes effective 28 September 2020

Australia Post has committed to maintaining the retail price of letters and parcels until 2021, in recognition of the challenges faced by Australians through COVID-19.

Now, more than ever, Australians are relying on us to keep them connected, and embracing new ways of selling, purchasing and receiving goods.

On 28 September 2020, Australia Post is adjusting the prices of our mail redirection and hold services, and identity services, to enable us to continue providing an efficient and sustainable postal service for businesses and consumers Australia-wide.
