Peter Bass is the Executive General Manager for Letters & Mail Network at Australia Post.
Peter is responsible for Australia Post's large and complex mail processing and delivery network, which comprises more than 16,000 employees and 5,000 mail contractors across 400 facilities nationally.
In his role Peter is accountable for implementing our letters reform program. This includes aligning our mail products and services with customer needs, implementing new processing infrastructure in our major mail facilities, and optimising our delivery network.
Peter is also responsible for managing safety across the Letters & Mail Network business, driving our safety agenda and embedding a world-class safety culture.
During his 30-plus year career at Australia Post, Peter has held several key leadership positions across operations. He has been instrumental in delivering business strategy, productivity improvements, network and systems design, operational efficiencies, and major change initiatives.
His strong track record managing large, complex teams and motivating employees to deliver results will support Australia Post to deliver a sustainable world-class letters service.
