Group Chief Operating Officer

As the Group Chief Operating Officer, Bob Black is responsible for providing a world-class service to our customers with an unrivalled suite of ecommerce-driven logistics, supply chain, parcel and mail delivery solutions for consumers, local and international businesses, and online marketplaces.

Bob is responsible for leading and optimising the end-to-end, parcels and mail delivery business across the Australia Post Group. This includes managing the most extensive parcel delivery network in Australia, with more than 30,000 team members, 15,000 vehicles, 4,500 collection/drop off points and a comprehensive air network which includes six dedicated Qantas freighter aircraft, available to every business and consumer, servicing over 11.5 million domestic delivery points every day.

Bob joined Australia Post in November 2014, after 30 years with global express delivery company TNT. With significant experience in the parcels and mail industry, Bob has a deep knowledge and understanding of the domestic and international distribution and logistics sector, he has a proven track record in delivering strategic infrastructure projects producing sustainable efficiency and productivity improvements. Throughout his career, Bob has held many positions across all aspects of International and Domestic businesses including, Strategy, M&A, Business Development, Sales and Operations.

Bob's extensive international and local supply chain expertise continues to help shape the Australia Post Group’s eCommerce transformation strategy, leveraging the significant infrastructure and technology investments made over the past six years to deliver outstanding delivery experiences and connecting Australian businesses and consumers to global marketplaces.
