You can get started straight away using the 'Buy now' section above.

We'll walk you through the process step-by-step and deliver your card within 5 business days.

Buy in-store

Need your card in a hurry? Follow these steps and you'll be using your card in no time:

  1. Buy your card and complete your ID check at a participating Post Office.
  2. Log in to the Card Manager to add your new card using your Australia Post account details. If you don't have one, you can create an account now.
  3. Transfer funds from Australian Dollars to Chinese Yuan, ready to use on your trip.

Completing your ID check in-store

When you buy your card, you'll be asked to provide the following:

  • Personal details (name, address and date of birth)
  • 6-digit access code (used for activation and servicing)
  • Mobile phone number
  • Original proof of ID documents

To complete your ID check, you'll need to provide 2 forms of acceptable identification.

These can include:

  • 2 primary documents (including your photo), OR
  • 1 primary document and 1 secondary document

This transaction fee does not apply to ATM withdrawals.

3  Includes purchases converted to AUD currency.

4 Only applies to transactions completed in a currency that is not one of the 2 currencies offered by the card. This fee is not yet in effect for ATM cash withdrawals. Until it is in effect, the fee for foreign currency conversion on ATM cash withdrawals will be waived.

5 This ATM fee is not yet in effect. Until it is in effect, a discounted fee of $0.25 per ATM cash withdrawal or balance enquiry will apply.

To use the Card Manager, you'll need to have an Australia Post account. If you don't have one, you can create an account now.

  1. Log in to the Card Manager with the email address and password you use for your Australia Post account.
  2. Add your new card by entering the following details:
    • 16-digit card number
    • 6-digit access code (you chose this when you purchased the card)
    • 3-digit CVN (located on the signature panel on the back of your card)
  3. Once you've added your card, you can use the Card Manager to:
    • transfer funds between Australian Dollars and Chinese Yuan
    • view your card balance and transaction history
    • change your PIN, cardholder details and notification settings
    • lock or unlock your card, or
    • report your card as lost or stolen.

A 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) is needed to use your Load&Go China card for ATM cash withdrawals and to make in-store purchases.

You can still use your card for in-store purchases without your PIN (where available) and online.

Retrieve your PIN via SMS

Using your registered mobile phone (without blocked caller ID), SMS the following text to 0499 881 882 (or +61 499 881 882 from overseas):

POST PIN [Your 6 digit access code] [the last 4 digits of your card number]

Please include spaces e.g. 'POST PIN 123456 1234'.

Make an in-store purchase

  1. Select SAV (savings)
  2. Enter your PIN

Make an online purchase

  1. Enter your 16-digit card number and expiry date.
  2. If you are asked for the CVN, this is the 3-digit number on the back of your card on the signature panel.
  3. If you are asked for a cardholder name, enter 'Valued Cardholder'.
  4. If you are asked for a billing address, enter the address you used when you purchased your card. If you haven't registered, you can use any address you choose.
  5. If you are asked for your mobile phone number, enter the number you registered with us. You'll be sent a one-time verification code by SMS. Enter this code on the merchant's website to complete your transaction.

Follow these steps to withdraw cash or make a balance enquiry:

  1. Find an ATM that accepts UnionPay cards (look for the UnionPay logo)
  2. Enter your PIN
  3. Select SAV (savings)

Please note: Some ATM providers may charge a fee for cash withdrawals or balance enquiries. If charged, this fee will be deducted automatically from your card balance at the time of the transaction.

Top-up funds on your Load&Go China card anytime, anywhere, with the choice of reloading online or in-store.

Reload in-store

Visit a participating Post Office and load your card using cash, EFTPOS or debit card.

In-store reloads are instant, so you can have immediate access to your funds.

Reload using Internet Banking

Load AUD onto your card by transferring money from your bank account via internet banking.

Just use the 'Pay Anyone' details printed on the back of your Load&Go China card.

  1. Initiate a new 'Funds Transfer' from a bank account
  2. Enter the recipient BSB: 980 222
  3. Enter the recipient account number. Use the 9-digit account number (Acc No) located on the back of your card

Things to know:

  • Reloads via Pay Anyone are subject to your bank's cut-off times
  • Pay Anyone loads take up to 2 business days to reach your card
  • Your bank may charge for this service, including rejected load attempts
